The Teviot Tea Store opened on the 30th of September 2019

It was cold and wet and spring turned to winter over night. With snow on the hills and a wind that would cut you in half but the day was fantastic. With many locals coming along to support my opening day. Sue from Sue's Pantry next door even gifted us with morning tea. Our first customers arrived as we opened at 10:00 and we still had friends family and locals dropping in into the late afternoon. We gave away plenty of spot prizes and a few went home with extra tea and an infuser to try.

This little shop started as a dream many years ago after walking into to a tiny tea store in Brisbane. I thought I would love a store like that. Later I discovered a love for vintage fine china and the thought came to me to combine the two concepts. I never believed it could be a reality until a kind couple in Roxburgh suggested I rent a space. A thought that had never occurred to me. On the 19th of August 2019 I was walking past this space and noticed it empty. Sally was happy to rent it and exactly six weeks later I opened my little Tea Store.
