NZ Manuka Special Blend |
An everyday breakfast blend with wild hand-harvested Manuka from Poverty Bay. Also known as New Zealand Tea Tree, it was first called Tea Tree by the expedition of Captain Cook in 1769 who identified the plant and established its use for brewing the leaves to help heal various ailments for his crew. Smokey Lapsang Souchong |
Strangely enough, Lapsang Souchong seems to be practically unknown in China since it has always been made principally for export. It is scented with pinewood smoke which impregnates the leaves, imparting a sweet, clean smokey flavour to the tea and golden coppery colour in the cup. The dimensions of smokey experienced in one cup is like no other. Like Scotch whiskey, you love it or leave it on it's own unmistakable terms. Can be drunk on it's own or by adding a pinch to another tea. |

Smokey Russian Caravan |
Historically, the Russian Caravan tea was the most important drink after vodka in old Russia. During the time of the Czars, tea would travel on camelback from China to Moscow. This tea was famous for the smokey smell of the campfire it would absorb along the journey. Today Russian Caravan tea is a blend of Chinese tea and smokey Lapsang Souchong with a slightly stronger and sweeter cup than Lapsang yet with a more mellow smoked flavour. |

Pettiagalla in Ceylonese language means box shaped rock. The rock is the identification mark for the estate, situated in the Ratnapura District. Located at the foot of the Horton Plains mountains and Adams Peak to the north, it towers above all other estates in this region and offers unique growing conditions. The tea is light and bright in cup with a very pleasant taste, one you won't forget. |
